A range contour is a circle comprised of points at a given distance from an object and at the same altitude as that object. Although the type of contour graphics available will depend on the object selected, the options for managing contour levels are the same.
If the Show option is checked, contour graphics display in the 2D Graphics window.
To change how contours are displayed, select Fill and then select a fill type from the list. The default fill type is screen.
The following sections outline how to add, remove, and define the display of contour levels.
Use the Add Method option to select the way that level values will be defined.

| Start, Stop, Step | Enter a Start value, a Stop value, and a Step value. Generate contours beginning with the Start value and incrementing by the Step value until the Stop value is exceeded. |
| Explicit | Define individual contour levels by enter the contour level in the Level field. |
Use the options in the Level Attributes area to define the display of a selected contour level. To define display attributes, select the level of interest in the list and set the following options:

| Line Style | Style of the line used to represent a selected contour level in the 2D Graphics and 3D Graphics windows. |
| Line Width | Width of the line used to represent a selected contour level. |
| ShowLabel | Displays the distance as part of the label. |
| Show Text | Displays the text entered in the UserText field as part of the label. |
| UserText | Enter the text you want to display as part of the label. |
| LabelAngle | Enter a value for the label angle display. |
To remove a single contour level, select a contour listed in the Level list and click Remove.
To remove all contour levels, click Remove All.
