The Area Target object models a region on the surface of the central body. Select one or more of the following to model an Area Target and impose constraints:

| Boundary | Define the area target as a pattern bound by selected points or as an ellipse with specified parameters. |
| Centroid | Define a 'center' point for the area target to be used as, among other things, a terminal point for access lines drawn to the area target during animation. |
