A scenario is an object that represents an instance of an analytical or operational task that you are modeling with STK.
After opening STK you should be looking at the Welcome To STK!
dialog. If the Welcome to STK! dialog is not visible, click
Welcome to STK! (
) in the default toolbar. The
Welcome to STK! window is an easy way to jump into STK either by
creating a new scenario, opening an existing one, or learning about
STK. You are going to create a scenario.
Tip: STK will save each scenario in a separate folder with a name similar to the name of the scenario. This will prevent you from accidentally overwriting your previous work.
A new scenario opens, and the 2D and 3D displays open in the workspace. You can use the mouse to move around in the 3D Graphics window.
Click
to
return to the HomeView.
After you create the scenario, you are ready to populate it with objects, such as facilities and satellites.
