3D Graphics Properties for Scenarios
Offscreen Rendering
Offscreen Render New 3D Window. If selected, any loaded or newly created 3D graphics window uses offscreen rendering. The option to set Offscreen Rendering is only available if Support Offscreen Rendering has been enabled at the application level, before the scenario was created. Hardware anti-aliasing (the setting available in the graphics card control panel) may not work in STK when offscreen rendering is enabled.
Surface Lines
Draw on Terrain when Available. If set, the following types of lines will conform to the terrain on the globe:
If not set, and terrain is present, the lines may go under or float over the terrain.
Note that when a line is displayed on terrain, the line style is ignored.
Set this option only if terrain is present because setting this option has an impact on performance.
Imagery
ROAM Image Cache. Temporarily stores ROAM imagery for the globe. You may need to increase the size of the cache if all specified images cannot be loaded at the same time or the image is blurry.
Chunk Image Cache. Temporarily stores chunk imagery for the globe. You may need to increase the size of the cache if all specified images cannot be loaded at the same time or the image is blurry.
Chunk Terrain Cache. Temporarily stores terrain for the globe. You may need to increase the size of the cache if all specified terrain cannot be loaded at the same time or if the terrain is blurry.
Note: The chunk imagery and terrain caches allow for an even distribution of memory between 3D windows, which at times may cause multiple 3D windows to recalcuate to mouse zooms/redraws in one window.
Allow Negative Altitudes. Select this option to allow negative altitudes for great arc vehicles and for facilities and targets.
Surface Reference of Earth Globes
Surface At. Displays the globe's surface at the mean sea level (MSL) or at the central body's reference ellipsoid (WGS84).
